We have two new preprints on bioRxiv!

The first is Markella and Stephens first-author paper on scpImaging – how micrographs routinely collected by the cellenONE instrument during sample preparation can be employed for phenotypic characterisation and doublet/multiplet detection, and visualised.

Loi, Holmes, Zhou, Held, Brownridge, Coomber, Neves, Sweeney & Emmott* (2025) Single-cell phenotypic analysis and multiplet detection through incorporation of microscopy data into cellenONE-based single-cell proteomic data analysis

A huge amount went into this including automated image segmentation, image analysis in cell profiler, iSEE visualisation of SCP datasets, and a custom R package to make these features available to new users! Further SCP preprints coming soon!

The second preprint is a collaboration with the Lulla lab from Cambridge to map astrovirus polyprotein cleavage, and includes some of Leandro’s N-terminomics work (more coming soon!).

Noyvert, Neves, Fominykh, Hankinson, Lindsey, Lulla, Emmott, Lulla  (2025) Viral protease-mediated polyprotein processing in human astroviruses
